MottoPutty
Description
MottoPutty is a non-setting putty sealant that is simple to install and offers both fire and sound ratings. It is specifically designed to uphold the fire resistance of gypsum walls that have been penetrated by electrical switches and sockets.
MottoPutty can be installed either inside or outside of the socket or wall box. In the event of a fire, it creates a durable fire-resistant char, effectively preventing burn-through at the site of electrical or pipe penetrations.

When electrical sockets and switches are installed within dry lining partitions, the initial fire rating of the partition becomes compromised. However, by fitting MottoPutty, the fire rating of the partition can be reinstated for up to 2 hours (depending on the partition's fire rating). This effectively prevents the passage of smoke and flames during a fire and also impedes sound and air movement through the electrical socket into the cavity throughout the service life.
