MottoCollar
Description
MottoCollars are specifically engineered to uphold the fire resistance of fire-rated walls and floors when they are penetrated by service openings. They are versatile and can be utilized in drywalls, timber, masonry, or concrete walls and floors. Each collar is constructed with a circular steel shell coated in either white or red, which easily splits in two to accommodate service penetrations using a straightforward 'slide-lock' mechanism.
Embedded within the steel shell is a reactive material based on graphite, which activates upon exposure to heat from a fire, effectively sealing off any openings created by the softening combustible material.

- Accredited for fireproofing across diverse construction types
- Outstanding soundproofing capabilities
- Produces no emissions
- Backed by a 30-year working lifespan assurance
- 30 years working life
- Achieves fire ratings of up to 240 minutes for both integrity and insulation
The product is certified for effectively sealing fire hazards across various construction types, including drywalls, masonry and concrete walls, concrete and composite floors, as well as solid or cross-laminated timber walls and floors. It's also endorsed for sealing a wide array of building service penetrations, encompassing cable bundles, conduits, steel pipes, copper pipes, and various types of plastic pipes.
Both metal and plastic pipes, along with their commonly used combustible insulations, are accommodated and sealed continuously through the fire seal. Plastic pipe sizes up to Ø 400mm are approved, with a range of wall thicknesses for each size. In certain concrete and masonry wall setups, a single collar suffices, offering cost efficiency. Moreover, collars are available in two different heights to optimize cost-effectiveness across different fire classifications.
