Description
MottoHP stands out as a high-performance sealant meticulously crafted to impede the propagation of fire, smoke, and gases through apertures in fire-rated walls and floors. In the event of a fire, MottoHP undergoes expansion, effectively sealing openings around penetrations after the combustion of combustible or low-temperature melting materials.
Notably, it excels in sealing challenging services, accomplishing what traditional fire-rated mastics may struggle with, including the effective sealing of large plastic pipes.

MottoHP can be paired with an appropriate filling material, such as stone wool or MottoFire® Backing material, to ensure the correct width-to-depth ratio and minimize shrinkage of the sealant during curing.
The installation instructions specify the minimum depth and maximum width of the joints. Thermal activation occurs at 150°C, prompting the material to expand (intumesce) and effectively block the passage of fire and smoke for durations of up to 4 hours.
